Marienburg Castle, residence of the Gulph family, is one of Europe's oldest royal houses! The castle was built as a present by King George V of Hanover to his wife, Queen Marie (hence the naming).
Today, the neo-Gothic monument is in private property of Prince Ernst August jun. of Hanover.

Join us this Saturday, 1st of August, in our visit to this breath-taking castle! We will start from Göttingen and go by train to Nordstemmen. We will then walk around 30-40 minutes to arrive at the Castle, where we will stay for 2 to 3 hours. We will wander around the park and admire the castle.
Whoever wants can explore the inside spaces of the Castle for €12,50 and can gaze the wonderful view from the tower for €5.

Don't forget to bring:
• A face mask
• Your Student ID for the train ride  (If you have one. If not, let us know in the registration form and we will try to form a group in order to buy group tickets).
IMPORTANT: Due to current Covid-19-measures, a registration is necessary! We cannot yet reveal you the time and place of meeting, but the trip will start after lunch-time. Once you have registered and received a spot, you will receive an e-mail with further details.
“Can I just join the group even if I didn’t register or didn’t get a spot?” No, this is not possible.
